Being Back Home
It's great to be back home, but I also miss the cheap costs of food over there. Hahah.
Now that I'm back, I have to prepare some service activities to fulfill my end of the Gilman scholarship.
That is the next plan.

Happy 4th of July! I'm back in the USA.
Sorry for such a long delay in posting a new blog entry. I've made a lot of new friends and a lot of new memories. Will update soon.
March suddenly became super busy. The reason was that within a few weeks, we were already halfway through the semester and that meant the midterms. The Chinese courses here at BNU are definitely are a lot tougher simply because there are approximately 90-120 words to learn each week. For those of us who are bad are outright memorization and recitation, this is pretty difficult.

Peking Opera
We went to the Peking Opera as part of our latest adventures in Beijing. The Peking Opera is one of the cultural icons of Beijing cultural realm. To be in Beijing and not go seems like a shame.
Fire! Whoah!
We saw a karaoke sign! I think we need to stop by one of these places one day. Hehe...
And we just heard about the earthquakes in Yunnan and Japan. Prayers and hope to all those involved. Beijing did not feel the tremors, but feels sad about the events all the same.

Thirteen Ming Emperors Tombs
Yesterday, our Beijing Culture Class took us to the Thirteen Ming Emperors Tombs. Well, we only had time to visit two of the tombs and the God's Road to the tombs.
We visited the Changling and Dingling. Only Dingling was fully excavated, but I think Changling, tomb of Emperor Zhudi, was the most magnificent.
Here are some pictures.

Breakfast
Breakfast seems to consist of either early morning Chinese toast, or Rice porridge, or White Buns. I wonder which one I should go for?

It's only been a few days of classes when I already have assignments and tests soon. Let's see what's a good article?

Unfortunately, it was cancelled
Unfortunately, the trip to the 13 Ming Emperors Tombs was cancelled because of snow and slippery conditions on the road.
Instead, I used the time to travel to Ikea. It was a bit crazy. I do have some pictures.
But I am feeling tired and I need to prepare for class.
